Yellowbird Wows Crowds in China Performances
August 17, 2010
Shane Yellowbird performed five shows in as many days to enthusiastic Chinese audiences at World Expo 2010. Held on the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai China, this year's World Expo is the largest and most expensive World Fair ever.
Proudly representing Canada, Shane performed his many hits, including "Bare Feet on the Blacktop" and "Pick Up Truck" to appreciative and welcoming crowds. "The people of Shanghai were amazing," says Yellowbird. "They really got into the music, some of them hearing country music for the first time ever. For me, the cultural experience was unforgettable. I'm looking forward to getting back over there and playing more."
From his Q&A period with international press, to singing alongside incomparable Cirque Du Soleil performers, Yellowbird left a favorable impression with dignitaries and Chinese fans alike. Yellowbird has already accepted an invitation to return to Shanghai this fall and summer.
