Shane Yellowbird Meets Senator Joe Biden

Canadian country music artist Shane Yellowbird charmed a group of New York elite when he performed at the American Institute for Stuttering Gala in New York City.

The prestigious event took place at the distinguished Tribecca Rooftop and celebrated the lives of individuals who have overcome their stuttering disorder to become influential community leaders.

Among the guests was CBS correspondent Byron Pitts as well as United States Senator for Delaware and Presidential Candidate Barack Obama's chosen running mate, the Honorable Senator Joe Biden. Senator Biden was an honoree for the evening as he was presented the second annual Freeing Voices, Changing Lives Leadership Award.

Throughout the evening, Yellowbird introduced the guests to his signature Canadian country music which won their praises time and time again.

The event raised over $350,000 for the Institute which will provide scholarships for children needing speech therapy.
