June 7, 2008 Pick Up Truck Still Among Canada’s Top 100 Hits
It was Shane Yellowbird's third top 10 hit now, 47 weeks since its release, Pick Up Truck is still holding a spot among Canada's top 100, according to TraxReport. Following its release last spring, the single went top 10 for 10 weeks on the BDS/Mediabase and TraxReport, and was the #1 Canadian song for five weeks, it also hit number one on the Country Music News Top 100 chart. Another indication of its popularity was accompanying video which also maintained the #1 music video spot on CMT Canada. After performing the song millions of times over the last year Shane still maintains that Pick Up Truck is his favorite song from the "Life is Calling My Name" album, because it's one that many people can relate to. "I don't think there's any guy out there who wouldn't relate to being shut down by a lady", Shane jokes, "And we have to laugh at ourselves, because we've all had our cheesy moments. I'm just glad that the fans are still enjoying the song and the video."
