Shane Yellowbird Ties for Most CCMA Nominations

The 2007 CCMA Awards were announced this morning with Shane Yellowbird receiving five nominations.

Shane's five nominations tie him with George Canyon as the most nominated artist at the CCMA's this year.

Shane received nominations in the following categories:

SINGLE OF THE YEAR- Pickup Truck
ALBUM OF THE YEAR- Life Is Calling My Name
CMT VIDEO OF THE YEAR- Pickup Truck
CHEVY RISING STAR AWARD
INDEPENDENT MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR

Shane's latest single "Pickup Truck" officially hit number one in July on the Country Music News Top 100 Chart. The video followed not long after, taking the number one spot on CMT Canada. His next single and video "I Remember the Music" will be hitting the air in August.

The 2007 CCMA Awards broadcast will air across Canada on September 10 at 8PM (9pm AST & 9:30pm NF) on CBC TV, with encore airings on CMT Canada, in the U.S. on television network Great American Country (GAC), and in Australia on Country Music Channel (CMC).
