November 7, 2005 Shane Yellowbird to play nationally televised awards show
In the short time Shane Yellowbird has been performing he has made quite an impression in the country music scene. In addition to performing at the CCMA Industry luncheon, his first single, ?Beautiful Concept?, is climbing the charts and the video has been getting regular rotation on CMT. And now he has an opportunity to be exposed to an even larger audience.
Recently the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation took note of a television interview of Shane's that was aired nationally and was very interested. After contacting Shane's management company, O'Reilly International, he was quickly secured to perform on their annual Achievement awards show, which is televised nationally on CBC, on January 2006.
?What a great honor to be asked,? replied Shane. ?It's certainly a foundation I believe in helping out and to be doing it on a nationally televised show is just icing on the cake!?
The performance will follow on the heels of Shane's performances at the Canadian Aboriginal Festival in Toronto on November 25-26. Surely this will the first of many times Canadian country fans will get to see Shane perform on such a large scale.
The show will be taped on January 28 on be televised at a later date. For more information go to the Foundation's website at www.naaf.ca or contact O'Reilly International (pierre@oiem.net or 306-955-4967 ext. 3).
